The 2 Repsol Suns Continue to Shine Another Year at RESTAURANT CASTELL PERELADA
El Restaurant Castell Perelada, located in the heart of the Empordà region, remains part of the Repsol universe for yet another year after renewing its 2 Repsol Suns at the event held yesterday in Tarragona, thus consolidating the strength and excellence of its culinary proposal.
According to the Repsol Guide itself, this distinction recognizes restaurants that stand out for developing a concept in which the cuisine demonstrates maturity, potential, and ambition for continuous evolution. Mastery of technique, the pursuit of the finest ingredients, impeccable service, and a carefully curated wine cellar among the other values highlighted by the guide.
With chef Javi Martínez at the helm of the kitchen and maître and sommelier Toni Gerez leading the dining room, the restaurant has renewed this distinction, first awarded in 2020 under chef Xavi Sagristà and expanded in 2023 with the second Sun under the direction of chef Martínez.
“Continuing to be part of the Repsol family is a source of pride and, at the same time, a great responsibility. The daily effort passion, and commitment of the entire team are reflected in this distinction, which highlights our dedication and, above all, the gastronomy of our country”, says chef Javi Martínez.
Maître and sommelier Toni Gerez adds: “We are deeply satisfied and grateful to Repsol and to all the guests who trust us. Our commitment is always to pursue excellence in every detail, both in the kitchen and in service, and to maintain a constant attitude of gratitude toward everyone who chooses us”.
In addition, Grup Peralada celebrates once again the renewal of the Repsol Guide recommendation for Restaurant L’Olivera, located at Hotel Perelada and led by the renowned Empordà-born chef Paco Pérez.
