Tast i Tastets’ excellent program of wine pairing dinners continues. This time we showcase La Calèndula, a restaurant that bases its cuisine on the finest locally sourced ingredients prepared with a creative and singular flair that incorporates wild herbs, flowers, roots and fruit.

Chef and owner Iolanda Bustos mans the stoves at La Calèndula, which is located at the Hotel del Teatre in Regencós, Girona. An expert in botanical cuisine, a passion that has earned her a reputation as The Flower Chef, Bustos blends tradition with the avant-garde by serving up artfully created landscapes on every plate.

Bustos has received several awards, including the UMAMI award for culinary innovation using traditional ingredients. She is also a contributor and culinary consultant for a number of publications as well as on the radio and TV, and even brews her own craft beer with flowers, Beuflor.

The menu, which is paired with excellent wines and cavas, is yours to enjoy for the special price of €67.
